Sitting on the Fence

Facilitating workshops with Tate Exchange, Woven Festival in Yorkshire and Camden Arts Centre, my practice invited and amplifies unheard voices. My sculptural installations are responsive to site, highlighting collaborative discussion about personal geographies, the domestic and fragile ecologies. Recently developing ‘Garden Wall’, a sculpture garden on my street, I hope to develop an engaging, accessible encounter between local residents and art whilst adhering to social distancing. I have been part of VSL befriendee volunteering scheme since the start of lockdown and I am excited by the potential of inviting a creative, local individual to be part of this community-based project.

Andrea McNish

I have lived in Forest Hill for 15 years and seen and been through a lot of changes in that time. I enjoy reading, particularly True Crime histories and biographies.

I like the idea of us both giving the other a set of creative prompts and enabling the development of two artworks that combine, correlate as well as contradict.
