Join our Venue Community

For 21 years Deptford High Street has been at the heart of our annual festival and each year we welcome new venues into the fold! This year, we also welcome residents in Deptford and New Cross to join the art trail!

Local businesses, venues, spaces…

In the past Deptford X festival has featured over 60 venues in and around Deptford and New Cross – anything from the local library to the butchers, phone boxes to GP waiting rooms and even the local gym.

We know it’s been a difficult time for local businesses and we are really keen for the Art Trail map to guide people to your establishment so that they can enjoy something displayed in your window by one of our artists while they grab a coffee or do a quick spot of shopping.

Local Residents can participate too!

This year it is our intention to bring art and creativity out into the open to create joy and healing in our communities in the wake of the pandemic.

There will be a strong emphasis on artworks that are available to enjoy directly IN the streets we live in and so this year Deptford X also invites all LOCAL RESIDENTS in SE8 & SE14 who want art to come to their street to sign up as a venue.

The idea behind this is you can offer a space that can seen from outside and via a pedestrian walkway/pavement without anyone having to get close to your property – so this means if you have a garden, a balcony, a window or door that an artist can make use then we would love to hear from you.

There is also an opportunity for residents to take part using their own space – if this sounds more like you then be sure to sign up here!

So if you’d like to join the art trail and meet an artist then please do sign up!

We will be hosting some online “Fringe Socials” these are online events where artists and venue owners can be introduced to each other, it’s also the place where you can ask the Deptford X team more questions about this year’s festival. Keep an eye on our News page for details on when these socials will take place.
