Pulp Sculptuur
All Lit Up- Lighting for Exciting Interiors
A series of six sculptural forms functioning as lighting line the walls of the brewery & taproom.
A continuation of my focus on utilising low cost, readily available materials to create new forms with a functional purpose. Each of my pieces is made of recycled materials that include card, paper pulp, scrap wood or old house-paint. The sourcing of materials has become a key part in the production of work as this involves seeking out opportunities as I travel through London on my bike or public transport. Finished works will often take the form of objects playing an essential role within domestic environments, such as; a lamp, tray or table. The nature of the materials used means that the works are somewhat removed from the traditional benchmarks of value, being both inexpensive to produce and easily taken apart and recycled again.
Thank you to Villages Brewery for hosting this exhibition.
