Ikra Arshad
Fill me up
Ikra Arshad’s developing art practice is focussed on creating immersive public art works in everyday places that offer spaces of calm reflection amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life. For Deptford X Arshad has created a sculptural installation incorporating abstract shapes of transparent coloured Perspex in Margaret MacMillan Park. For the duration of the festival, Fill me up alters the landscape of the park and entices visitors and passers-by to explore the work and take a moment out of their day to enjoy the playful structure, coloured shapes and the chance to encounter a familiar place anew.
Ikra Arshad graduated from Camberwell School of Art in 2016 and runs Masala Wala Café in Brockley with her mother and sisters.
You can view this work 24/7 in the park.
