Artist Weekender 2026

DX Artist Weekender 2026: Social

Deptford X launches its Weekender open call for visual artists based in Deptford and Lewisham. Now in its second edition, the 2026 Weekender is a programme of exhibitions and events showcasing the diversity of new art made in the borough. This year, we are looking for work responding to the theme of the social – artists can interpret this as interactions with their circle of friends, family and communities, or leaning towards social commentary or socially engaged practices. The selected works will be exhibited on 3 and 4 October in partner venues in Deptford (to be announced). There will also be an accompanying programme of public events.
