For over 20 years now, Deptford High Street has been at the heart of our annual festival and each year we welcome new venues into the fold! Sign up, if you would like to be part of the festival trail!

Local businesses, venues, spaces, residential homes…

In the past Deptford X festival has featured over 60 venues in and around Deptford and New Cross – anything from the local library to the butchers, phone boxes to GP waiting rooms, front gardens and porches and even the local gym.

We know it’s been a difficult time for local businesses and we are really keen for our festival map to guide people to your establishment so that they can enjoy something displayed in your window by one of our artists while they grab a coffee or do a quick spot of shopping.

Local Residents can participate too!

If you have a garden, a balcony, a window or door that an artist can make use then we would love to hear from you.

There is also an opportunity for residents to take part using their own space – if this sounds more like you then be sure to sign up here!

Once Fringe applications open, we will be hosting “Fringe Socials” these are online/in-person events where artists and venue owners can be introduced to each other, it’s also the place where you can ask the Deptford X team more questions about this year’s festival. We can talk to you about health & saftey, curatorial questions, marketing, promotion, anything you may have questions on.

Here you can find a list of venues who have specifically registered to show Fringe projects in 2023. It’s up to you to approach them with your project, or any other venues in Deptford, to secure a space to show your work.
Your venue must be secured when you submit your Fringe application.
