Reading Klein
A performance in a public toilet based around reading and discussing some of the theories of the psychoanalyst, Melanie Klein.
Melanie Klein was a psychoanalyst who created theories around her exploration of early childhood development. She analysed her own children and wrote about their infantile impulses through watching their play. She coined terms such as paranoid-schizoid and depressive position, relating to the development of tolerating ambivalence. She also wrote about envy and gratitude. The artists will from her books, stopping to explain or explore further any of the complexities.
This is an audio performance held in public toilets.
