Time is Running Out (2021)
ATTEMPT AT CUTTING THROUGH THE NOISE: Try looking away when it’s part of your memory.
Which images and sounds that make climate change visible, affect us in order to spark our engagement? What reaches us in a way that can make us act? And what can cut through the noise to reach us at all? The public display of an image of the flooding in Ahrweiler, Germany in 2021 blended with parts of a widely known surrealist painting is an attempt at using beauty and familiarity as a way into our visual collective memory. Take it to the decision makers and let its sublime urgency fuel their decisions with climate breakdown on the forefront of their minds.
