March Newsletter – Message from Deptford X Director Nathalie Boobis
19 March 2020
Message from Deptford X Director Nathalie Boobis
I wanted to outline how Deptford X is responding to the current virus emergency.
We’ve closed the office and will be working from home for the time being but business is as usual despite that. We’re still working towards the festival at the end of October and hoping that things will be different by then. Obviously we can’t know for sure what the landscape will look like then but either way, we are committed to supporting artists and our communities and will continue to work out the best way to do that whatever the context. Our Supported open call is still running and we look forward to seeing your applications.
We are aware that these are difficult times for artists, freelancers and arts venues. The Arts Council is working on an emergency strategy that will be announced in a week or so. We will share details of this when we have them and continue to use our platform to share any new information or resources. In the meantime, we have replaced our ‘Deptford X Recommends’ news item with some links that may be helpful to you.
Keep well, lockdown, and look after yourselves and others in these strange, strange times. Let’s come together and do what we can to help, support, and survive.
With best wishes,
Nathalie
