Water, Plastics & Boycott

Participants will be asked to collect all single used plastics they use- this could be shopping bags, fruit or vegetable bags, empty bags of crips packaging etc. These can then be flattened and fused together using butter paper and an iron ( for reference see uploaded picture of my work there are rivers in the sky). The outcome of the workshop is to create speculative maps of water and land, using the melting plastic as a metaphor of porous and fluid boundaries between land and water, as well as choices of consumption and global climate impact.
The event will be pay what you can and all the donations will be given to a charity of the artists selections.
