37 Deptford Church St - Life in the Blitz
The impact of a V1 bomb in Deptford and its aftermath
37 Deptford Church St – my mother’s family home – an address that no longer exists. On the morning of 16th June 1944 a V1 bomb demolished Reginald Square behind it and badly damaged no. 37 blowing out every window. Paintings photographs and text about this incident and its impact.
Warning: Scenes of bombing.
Thanks to Jake and the staff at Isla Ray for displaying my work.
