Like a traveler, spending years in Deptford and Greenwich, tides, stories, and creekside walks toward the Thames shaped both me and this mural. During a time of personal transition, connecting with the local community and the everyday textures of the neighbourhood led to a work grounded in place and memory, yet shadowed by a quiet sense of emotional and spatial detachment that echoes the grit of lived experience.

We’ll begin by gathering in front of St Nicholas Church to explore how it feels to approach the mural and its surroundings.It’s family-friendly and welcomes adults as well. The launch would include a stone-dipping event using natural pigments (prepared materials), and an introduction to herbal tea and cocktail tasting.
