Salt Fountain

Salt Fountain is an "urban intervention" using sea salt on the platform that gives access to Deptford Station. Circles and outlines of circles are drawn on the pavement and left there until dispersed by human traffic.
The salt has purifying and healing properties and is a mineral present everywhere in the world.

Valente is interested in the unpalpable energies that flow from the salt crystals and their capability of cleaning a space or a personal energy and auras. Some will notice, some will not, but all will engage with and have their energies affected by the salt in their path. The work is made complete through the bodies of the public. The project will be documented through photographs, videos and drone view from above.

Fri 22 Sep from 18.00 until the salt has dispersed
